Following my love of space and aerospace, I’ve been fortunate to have gotten to work on a variety of flying & orbiting machines in various roles, from being an F-15 avionics technician in USAF to working on the Space Shuttle program as a systems engineer, as a test engineer, and as a leader at Boeing where I led the development of systems integration test labs and avionics teams. As Director of Mission Management at Firefly Space and at Spaceflight, I have led the integration and launch of nearly 100 satellites, from 650 kg to 0.25U, with experience launching on Firefly Alpha, ISRO/NSIL PSLV, RocketLab Electron, SpaceX Falcon 9, Avio Vega C, as well as ISS satellite deployment missions.

When I’m not launching satellites, I play drums in Seattle-based bands including The Viking Surfers.

With over 30 years’ experience in the rocket and satellite industry, I’ve served at Firefly Space as Chief Engineer for Elytra OTV, Director of Mission Operations, Director of Electrical Engineering, and Director of Avionics Production. Additionally, I was Range Chief Engineer for the Department of the Air Force at Vandenberg Air Force Base and led the integration, test, & launch of multiple rocket systems, including onboard for Pegasus rocket launches from the L1011 for Northrop Grumman (formerly Orbital ATK & Orbital Sciences). I’m a hands-on technical leader who enjoys building, motivating, and mentoring teams to accomplish exciting & challenging goals.

Outside of my professional life, I enjoy running, camping, and spending time with my children and grandchild.
